Lifecare receives ethical approval for first human study

Lifecare has received approval from the Regional Ethics Review Board (REK) in Norway for its planned first-in-human study of the implantable CGM sensor. The study will evaluate safety, tolerability and accuracy of glucose readings in people with type 1 diabetes. Simon Dankel, professor at University in Bergen, will be the principal investigator. The company is now awaiting final approval from the Norwegian Medicines Agency before the study can begin in Norway and Germany.
