– Enzymatica has a very exciting product in ColdZyme that I look forward to more consumers discovering. Products that have the opportunity to be marketed directly to the end user are very interesting and fun to work with, says Anna Söderlund.
Enzymatica is the company behind the cold product ColdZyme which relieves symptoms and protects against viruses. The company is now focusing on further strengthening the product's position within the cold segment. As part of this work, the company has now recruited Anna Soderlund as Senior Director Marketing & Sales.
Anna has a Master of Science degree in Economics from Linköping University and more than 25 years of experience in the Life Science industry, where she has held leading roles at global companies such as Pfizer and MSDIn addition to that, she has also worked on Abbott, Hologic, Nutricia Medical Nutrition and Bausch + Lomb.
Takes office in an expansive phase

According to Enzymatica's CEO Claus Egstrand Anna is expected to bring important expertise in a phase where the company is focusing on expansion and sales growth:
– We are very pleased to welcome Anna Söderlund to Enzymatica. We are in an expansive phase with a strong focus on driving sales growth. Anna's extensive experience, strategic acumen and commitment will be crucial to our continued success.
She has already taken up her role and is now part of the company's management team. BioStock reached out to Anna to gain insight into her background and expectations for the new role.
Anna, you have extensive experience in the Life Science industry, with several previous leadership roles at global companies such as Pfizer, MSD and Hologic. How do you think these experiences will contribute to your new role at Enzymatica?
– I am extremely grateful for all the wise, competent people I have had the privilege of working with and learning from. This applies not only to employees and managers, but also to partners, customers and suppliers. It has given me a relatively broad understanding of many different parts of a company's operations and how everything is connected, not just sales and marketing. Somewhere it is about solving problems, being curious and being able to see possible ways forward.
What attracted you to take on the role of Senior Director Marketing & Sales at Enzymatica?
– Enzymatica has a very exciting product in ColdZyme that I look forward to getting more consumers to discover. Products that have the opportunity to be marketed directly to the end user are very interesting and fun to work with.
What do you consider to be your main strengths in sales and marketing?
– I strongly believe in insight-based communication. It is important to understand your target group in order to develop sales-driving communication.
How do you see the opportunities to strengthen ColdZyme as a brand, both in the Swedish market and internationally, and drive sales growth?
– As I see it, ColdZyme has fantastic potential both in Sweden and internationally. Colds are one of our most common illnesses and we can all relate to how it feels with a sore throat, runny nose and a cough that won't let up. The only thing you want is to get well.
What is important to consider when marketing over-the-counter self-care products like ColdZyme?
– ColdZyme is a medical device, not an over-the-counter drug, but as with all marketing, it is important to adhere to the existing rules.
What will be your top priorities now that you take on the role?
– My top priority will be to get to know the company and my employees. A long time ago, I learned from Christer Olsson at an IHM training in personal leadership that it is wise to understand before you make yourself understood, that remains with me.
