
Enzymatica recruits experienced marketing director
Enzymatica strengthens its growth strategy by recruiting Anna Söderlund as Senior Director of Marketing & Sales. With extensive experience in the life science industry as well as in sales and marketing, Anna brings valuable expertise to the company.

Enzymatica is the company behind ColdZyme that alleviates common cold symptoms and protects against viruses. The company is now focused on further strengthening the product’s position within the common cold segment. As part of this effort, the company has recruited Anna Söderlund as Senior Director of Marketing & Sales.
Anna holds a Master of Science in Economics from Linköping University and has more than 25 years of experience in the Life Science industry, where she has held senior roles at global companies such as Pfizer and MSD. Additionally, she has worked at Abbott, Hologic, Nutricia Medical Nutrition, and Bausch + Lomb.
Expansive phase
According to Enzymatica’s CEO, Claus Egstrand, Anna is expected to bring valuable expertise during a phase where the company is focusing on expansion and sales growth:

She has already assumed her role and is part of the company’s management team. BioStock reached out to Anna to gain insight into her background and expectations for the new position.
Anna, you have extensive experience in the Life Science industry, with several previous leadership roles at global companies such as Pfizer, MSD, and Hologic. How do you envision these experiences contributing to your new role at Enzymatica?
– I am incredibly grateful for all the wise and competent people I have had the privilege to work with and learn from. This includes not only colleagues and managers but also partners, customers, and suppliers. It has given me a relatively broad understanding of various parts of a company’s operations and how everything connects, not just sales and marketing. At its core, it is about solving problems, being curious, and seeing potential paths forward.
What attracted you to take on the role of Senior Director Marketing & Sales at Enzymatica?
– Enzymatica has an incredibly exciting product in ColdZyme, and I look forward to helping more consumers discover it. Products that can be marketed directly to the end user are both interesting and rewarding to work with.
What do you consider to be your main strengths in sales and marketing?
– I strongly believe in insight-driven communication. It is crucial to understand your target audience in order to develop sales-driven communication.
How do you view the opportunities to strengthen ColdZyme as a brand, both in the Swedish market and internationally, and to drive sales growth?
– In my view, ColdZyme has fantastic potential both in Sweden and internationally. The common cold is one of our most prevalent illnesses, and we can all relate to the discomfort of a sore throat, runny nose, and a lingering cough. When you’re sick, all you want is to get better.
What is important to consider when marketing over-the-counter self-care products like ColdZyme?
– ColdZyme is a medical device, not an over-the-counter drug, but as with all marketing, it is essential to adhere to the applicable regulations.
What will be your main priorities as you step into the role?
– My top priority will be to get to know the company and my colleagues. A long time ago, I learned from Christer Olsson during a leadership course at IHM that it is wise to understand before seeking to be understood, and that principle still guides me.
