Strong line-up at the BioStock Life Science Summit 2020

This year’s flagship event for BioStock, the BioStock Life Science Summit, is held live in a virtual format for two days, 17 and 18 November. 27 high-profile companies, active in a number of therapeutic areas, will participate in the event, which shows the impressive breadth of Nordic life science. The program also offers the audience panel discussions with leading fund managers from e.g., C Worldwide funds, Swedbank Robur Medica, Danske Bank and Norwegian Hadean Ventures, as well as business developers from Big Pharma companies such as Amgen and Novo Nordisk.

In line with safety concerns around the Covid-19 pandemic, the BioStock Life Science Summit (twitter: #BLSS2020) will take place as a digital event. On Tuesday November 17 and Wednesday 18, the entire program will be broadcast live from the BioStock studio at Medicon Village in Lund and from Nyhetsbyrån Direkt’s studio in Stockholm.

The program includes presentations from 27 innovation companies, which will be given the opportunity to present their projects and pitch to investors and other stakeholders who can follow the presentations online. The companies’ focus spans a broad spectrum of fields within life science – from biotechnology to drug development, medical technology and diagnostics – within a large number of treatment areas and indications. Panel discussions

As done previously, this year’s event also offers panel discussions with leading portfolio managers, experienced expert investors and business developers from Big Pharma companies, who will discuss industry trends, investment strategies, financing and partnering with extra weight in the Nordic markets. Much focus will be placed on the challenges, but also opportunities, that have arisen in the wake of the pandemic.
